The Need of Wahdat-e-Shar'iyyah
A question arises whether it is possible to adopt such an electoral system which elects a leadership follows Qur'aan and Sunnah perfectly? The answer is 'Yes' but only when the entire Islamic world comes under a single Khaleefah as taught by Islam.
Today, we are in the process of founding Khilaafat and without resorting to Sunnah, we have no way out. Nothing but failure and disappointment will be achieved if this phase is tried to win through bullet and ballot.
Today, the existence of various parties or movements is not forbidden as long as unification is not achievable; due to the differences over objectives, approaches, understanding and the level of confidence and trust.
Variety and specialization are allowed as long as they do not become contradictory and confrontational.
However everyone has to be in one united front when facing the challenges to Ummah and the survival of Islam. Relations between parties and groupings should be in the atmosphere of non-prejudice, forgiveness, nobleness, counseling truth and steadfastness, wisdom and engaging in healthy cordial debate.
Even when the Islamic State is established there is no reason to feel distraught at the existence of pluralism and differences.
Without the shedding of blood, the most effective way as the outcome of long and painful struggles is the existence of Islamic political forces to which the government in power is unable to contain or eliminate; that is presence of Islamic political parties. The ruling regime can get rid of individuals and small groups of opponents but it is difficult for them to defeat or wipe out larger organizations which are well structured, organized and rooted in the masses of society. The Islamic political parties have the platform, machinery, newspapers and publications as well as mass influence.
The Islamic Political parties or movements are necessary to fight oppression, to enable criticism, bringing back the government to uphold truth and justice, bringing down or changing the government. These parties are capable of monitoring and appraising the government, offer advice and criticism.
At Present it is necessary that:
All Islamic political parties should make “Wahdat-e-Shar'iyyah”, but not like the coalitions made in the past.
Any secular party can not be the member of “Wahdat-e-Shar'iyyah”.
All terms for leadership will be according to the terms introduced by Rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and the Sahaabah radhiyallaahu anhum. It means instead of using the word President the term of Ameer will be used.
The Ameer of “Wahdat-e-Shar'iyyah” should be bold, sincere and committed to this noble cause. It means that the Ameer will remain stead and firm to maintain the khilaafat though all other parties deviate from this noble cause.
